We came, we saw, we parked a huge space truck in the middle of Orlando.
We’re still buzzing from our amazing experience at the Enterprise Connect expo, which took place from 12–14 March in Orlando, USA. A crack squad of our crew went to launch our cloud-based contact center solution on the world stage – and it wasn’t so much a launch as a catapult into space. Space being the operative word.
Our stand was a futuristic feast for the senses, dominated by our space-age video wall on one side and the massive ZaiTruck – fresh from its overland adventure across Africa and Europe – on the other. In fact, visitors couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing (or that it was actually possible to drive the thing).
Even the actual route printed on the back of the track wasn’t enough to convince some skeptical onlookers. Luckily, the ZaiTruck’s journey is well documented, and while we were fizzing with excitement to talk about our software, we were happy to share the video footage of our truck’s incredible journey so far.
Happily, the team were far from out-staged and visitors were only too eager to hear about our cloud-based solution, which was the buzzword of the expo. Our team delivered presentation after presentation to captivated crowds – roughly 250 visitors in total.
‘No one really knew who Zailab was before the expo,’ says product owner Catherine Collins, ‘and because we went in with a bang, we ended up making the most incredible connections. People liked the product, they liked the team, and absolutely everyone was curious about the truck. We really achieved what we set out to do.’
Sales director Fokion Natsis is equally elated with our first-time experience. ‘The feedback we received is that we definitely made an impact,’ he says. ‘We made quite a statement.’

Other than the fantastic networking opportunities (and the proximity to Walt Disney World), our biggest highlight was seeing our visionary CEO Nour Addine Ayyoub in action. He delivered a gut-punching presentation on how the contact center industry can change lives, using our mass job creation blueprint as an example.
